艷壓一切the entirely beautiful

I enjoy photographing people.

Portraiture...

The dictionary defines “portraiture” as “a record of a certain aspect of a particular
human being as seen by an artist”. The most important attribute of a good portrait is
that it captures some individualism of the subject. The picture should not merely be a
shot of a pretty girl or an old man but a portrait of that particular pretty girl or
old man and no other person. Portraitists are first and foremost observers, noting human
traits, elements of character, idiosyncrasies, habits and gestures and singling out and
capturing the individual features of each sitter.

NO FEARS IN LOVE

This photo was shoot during a performance held at Singapore opera festival. The grace and beauty of the human form never tires from love. This section attempts to capture the girl love the men, capture the love emotions in this couple that we can relate to: happiness, sadness and suffering. In my portrait photography, there are no rules. Most of my portraits aren’t formal situations; They are found situations. I compose this picture on the spot.

“How we gain emotional distance from the loved ones. When photographing, I usually focus on the people, it helps with sharing the message.” This is not only freeze the beautiful dancer, but also the subtle trails she left in the air. By combining movement and stillness, light and shadow. I love high contrast black and white but I never seem to think about this shoot when I’m processing my shots.
